What is Cybercrime?
Cybercrime is defined as any criminal based activity targeting computers or computer infrastructure, either locally of via the internet. In the past, cybercrime was committed mainly by individuals or small groups. However today, we are seeing highly complex cybercriminal networks bring together individuals from across the globe in real time to commit crimes on an unprecedented scale. More a term connecting a series of events, cybercrime is generally multi-vectored encompassing a number of attack techniques from denial of service, credential stealing, vulnerability exploitation and data theft.
