Infinigate Signs Distribution Agreement with Cyberbit to address growing cybersecurity threats
London, UK; April 5th 2018
Infinigate UK, a specialist IT security distributor has signed an agreement with Cyberbit to distribute their range of detection, response and simulation products. Cyberbit is the only company that offers a complete solution to protect an organisation’s entire attack surface across Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT) and IoT networks, while automating and orchestrating the incident response process across the converged attack surface. The new agreement covers the UK and Ireland and extends an already successful partnership between the two companies in the DACH region.
Murray Pearce, Managing Director of Infinigate UK, says that Cyberbit’s technology addresses critical cybersecurity risks regarding the wider use of operational technology (OT) which is becoming increasingly harder to ignore, as well as the growing need for automating and orchestrating security operations. “Whether it is state sponsored attacks on critical infrastructure or attacks on the wider business community that are commercially motivated, we expect to see more awareness in the market to secure OT in the same light as IT, which has not been the view historically,” explains Pearce. “Cyberbit also addresses the increasing volumes of incidents, data feeds and technologies that organisations are struggling to manage, coupled with the shortage in cybersecurity talent, by offering security automation and orchestration that enables them to do more, with less.” Added Pearce
Infinigate’s plans for growing Cyberbit’s channel sales include putting in place a dedicated Cyberbit team of technical, sales and renewals to create additional demand for the products. “In Cyberbit, we have found a solution that represents a genuinely new market opportunity, expanding the addressable market of our partners that are working with SCADA networks and in securing OT, and therefore this is a good incremental growth opportunity for all parties,” adds Pearce.
Allen Wise, Regional Director for UK & Ireland at Cyberbit said: “Cyberbit is excited about expanding our partnership. Infinigate has an excellent track record in taking new security technologies to market and we are confident in their abilities to educate and enable the channel. Their strong IT security focus, professional services and technical support capabilities is a level above what most distributors offer, making them an ideal partner for us.”
According to Wise, “Many organisations across the critical infrastructure sector are recognising the need to protect their ICS & SCADA (OT) networks which is just as important as protecting their IT networks. Utilities, transportation, manufacturing and even data centers are all vulnerable, hence the need for new methods of asset discovery and visibility, as well as methods for reducing workload by automating manual tasks and consolidating technologies and feeds into a single pane of glass.”
Cyberbit have significant plans for growth in the UK over the next year and will achieve this through partnerships with leading companies such as Infinigate, leveraging their established relationships with over 2,000+ security and networking resellers. Cyberbit’s technology is targeted to larger organisations, both public and private sector, and they are looking for partners that have sufficient technical experience and resources to maintain strong, ongoing end user relationships.
Cyberbit is available now and the solutions are: Cyberbit EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), Cyberbit SOC 3D (Automation and Orchestration), Cyberbit SCADAShield (ICS/SCADA Security and Continuity) and Cyberbit Range (Security Training and Simulation).
